The Role:

We are recruiting a Data Product Sales Lead to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The�Product Sales Lead is responsible in creating long-term, trusting relationships with our customers and grow nett new sales primarily through product sales. Responsible to develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. 
Focus is Data LoB products and product complementary services. The role will be measured on the sales targets related to this.

Skills and Experience:

Qualifiction Required:

  • Grade 12                    

Preferred Qualification:

  • BSc degree, BCOMM with Information Systems                       
  • Any data related degrees, diplomas, certificates                        

Experience Required:

  • 2 yrs    Role Specific    Solid sales experience selling data technologies. 
  • Cloudera, Denodo, Informatica, Talend, IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM Controller, IBM Planner                
  • 2 - 5 yrs    Project / Other    Any data related projects                
  • 2 yrs    Leadership    Self leadership, and experience leading others (non direct reports) is important. Team management not a a requirement                
Key Accountabilities:

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned strategic LoB sales objectives                            
  • Set up account plans                             
  • Establish strong, long-term client relationships                            
  • Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries                            
  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs                            
  • Connect customer needs to solutions                            
  • Coordinate solution advisory with business units to provide solutions                        
  • Handle complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner                            
  • Act as the liaison between key customers and internal sales teams                            
  • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers                            
  • Monitor sales performance metrics - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and forecasts                            
  • Keep abreast of data solutions, services and value propositions, use cases and case studies
