An exciting opportunity exists for a Data & Analytics Specialist to join a growing data function. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making through the development and maintenance of data solutions, reporting datasets, analytical models, and integration processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical capability with analytical thinking, data investigation, and business problem-solving. The role focuses on enabling reporting, insights generation, operational analytics, and data accessibility rather than traditional software development. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development of data models that support operational, financial, and performance measurement activities. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements. Support the delivery of dashboards, visualisations, and data-driven insights. Develop and maintain data integration, transformation, and analytical workflows. Support the creation and enhancement of datasets used for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. Analyse and validate large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement. Monitor data quality, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions. Contribute to the design and optimisation of data structures that support analytical and reporting requirements. Assist with data onboarding, integration, and validation activities across multiple data sources. Ensure appropriate governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained when handling sensitive information. Document datasets, business rules, data definitions, and reporting processes. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on data accessibility, automation, and operational efficiency. Experience and Skills Required: Education: Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Physics, Quantitative Analytics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience within a data, analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or quantitative environment. Experience working with large and complex datasets. Exposure to analytical modelling, reporting solutions, or decision-support systems. Experience supporting business intelligence, operational reporting, or analytics initiatives. Exposure to cloud-based data environments and modern data platforms would be advantageous. Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, Insurance, Telecommunications, Consulting, or similarly data-intensive industries is beneficial. Skills: Strong SQL capabilities for querying, transforming, and validating data. Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytical programming languages. Understanding of data modelling and analytical dataset design. Experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Ability to work with structured and semi-structured datasets. Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. Understanding of data quality, governance, and information management principles. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
