A company based in Pretoria, Gauteng, is looking for their new Dealer Principal.
The suitable candidate will have 8+ years experience as a Sales Manager in a premium capacity, and will be based in Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Sales Manager role within a premium automotive dealership
• Proven leadership and people management skills
• Strong financial and business acumen
• In-depth understanding of dealership operations, including sales, aftersales, and customer service
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive performance targets
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance
• Valid South African driver’s license
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, management, or a related field (advantageous)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the dealership to ensure profitability and efficiency
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets and grow market share
• Manage departmental heads (sales, service, parts) and ensure all departments operate cohesively
• Monitor financial performance, budgets, and expenses to ensure business goals are met
• Maintain excellent customer service standards and address escalated customer concerns
• Ensure compliance with OEM and company policies, procedures, and standards
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff to build a strong, motivated team
• Represent the dealership brand with professionalism and integrity
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including OEMs, customers, and vendors
