Dealer Principal – Western Cape

Salary: R60 000 – R70 000 CTC (Negotiable) + Performance Incentives + Company Vehicle + Benefits
A leading automotive group is seeking an experienced Dealer Principal to oversee the overall performance and profitability of a franchised multi-franchise dealership. The successful candidate will lead all dealership operations, including New and Pre-Owned Vehicle Sales, Service, Parts, Finance & Insurance, and Administration, while driving business growth, operational excellence, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric). Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce or similar (advantageous). Minimum 8-10 years' automotive industry experience . At least 5 years' experience as a Dealer Principal or Senior General Manager within a franchised dealership. Strong understanding of New Vehicles, Used Vehicles, Aftersales, Parts, and F&I operations. Proven track record in achieving sales targets, profitability, and managing dealership P&L. Experience with Dealer Management Systems (Keyloop, Kerridge, Evolve or similar). Valid driver's licence. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all dealership departments. Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational performance. Manage dealership budgets, financial performance, and P&L. Ensure achievement of manufacturer targets and customer satisfaction goals. Develop and mentor management teams. Maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards. Build strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Key Skills: Strong leadership and people management. Excellent financial and commercial acumen. Strategic planning and business development. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Customer-focused with the ability to perform in a target-driven environment.
