JOB SUMMARY:
Our client a growing passenger vehicle retailer in East Africa has an opportunity available for a Dealer Principal /General Manager to join and lead their Dealership. We are looking for a seasoned leader in the Automotive industry who would like to gain some experience as an Expat in Africa. Experience in Africa would be an added advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications required:

MUST have completed tertiary qualifications (Degree or Diploma)
MBA completed or in progress will be given first preference and is highly advantageous

Skills and experience required:

Minimum of 10 + years’ experience within the Automotive industry
8 + years’ in a National Dealer Principal / General Manager position
Dealership experience is a non-negotiable requirement
Excellent planning and organising skills
Ability to identify and solve problems
People management and development experience
Strong financial and business acumen
Business savvy and business minded

Job description:

Drive and ensure that budgeted profits are met by managing operating costs
Improve profitability and performance
Manage sales, parts and service department
Focus on and ensure top quality customer service to retain customers
Manage continuous training and development of dealership staff
Lead and manage day to day dealership performance
Develop and implement strategies and processes
Reporting to Head Office in South Africa
Profit and loss reports
Develop and implement financial risk management strategies and processes
Cost saving initiatives
Contract and relationship management with clients and suppliers
