About the Role A major, expanding motor dealer group is seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-driven New Vehicle Sales Manager to join their dynamic team in Menlyn. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for driving showroom sales performance, steering your sales team toward monthly volume and gross profit targets, cultivating customer relationships, and optimizing market presence within the Pretoria East territory. What’s on Offer? Basic Salary: R30,000 – R40,000 CTC per month highly negotiable (dependent on experience and proven track record). Incentives & Commission: Lucrative, uncapped commission structure with high earning potential. Company Vehicle & Fuel: Executive company vehicle and monthly fuel allowance. Tools of Trade: Company cellular phone \/ allowance provided. Medical Aid: 50% company contribution (capped at a maximum of R9,260.50 per month). Gap Cover: Compulsory at R199.00 per month for all employees joining the medical aid scheme. Retirement & Risk Benefits: Pension fund contribution (8% company contribution upon completion of probation) plus group funeral benefits. Leave Days: 15 working days per annum (subject to standard company policy). Standard Working Procedures (SWP): Structured onboarding with comprehensive standard operating procedures provided during induction. Working Hours & Environment Standard Hours: Dealership retail trading hours (Monday to Friday, including rotational Saturday shift schedules as per retail dealership operational requirements). Environment: Dynamic, professional showroom floor and corporate dealership environment with high customer foot traffic and digital inquiry channels. Compliance & Operations: Strict adherence to dealership standard working procedures, FAIS\/FICA and POPIA regulations, showroom presentation standards, and customer service excellence protocols. Key Responsibilities Sales Team Leadership & Target Management: Supervise, mentor, and drive the new vehicle sales team to achieve and exceed monthly volume, gross profit, and unit targets. Selling Environment Management: Maintain high standards of showroom discipline, vehicle display presentation, point-of-sale marketing material, and professional customer hospitality. Prospecting & Market Awareness: Proactively identify new business opportunities, monitor competitor activities and regional pricing, and capitalize on local market trends across the Sinoville and broader Pretoria North region. Database & CRM Growth: Actively utilize, expand, and manage client databases to maximize repeat and referral business, trade-in replacements, and long-term customer retention. Stock & Floorplan Management: Oversee new vehicle inventory allocations, aging units, showroom rotation, and floorplan funding parameters. Deal Structuring & F&I Synergy: Collaborate closely with the dealership Finance and Insurance (F&I) department to ensure optimal deal structuring, high finance penetration rates, and rapid turnaround on approvals. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain industry-leading Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores by ensuring top-tier service delivery from greeting to handover. Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of proven experience in a Motor Vehicle Sales Management role within a franchised dealership environment. Track Record: Demonstrated, successful track record in motor vehicle sales and showroom leadership. Customer Base: Well-established, active client database and proven prospecting capability. Education: Grade 12 \/ Matric certificate is strictly required. Key Skills: Exceptional managerial, target-monitoring, and closing skills. Outstanding communication skills across presentational, face-to-face, and written formats. Sound financial acumen with an understanding of deal profitability, vehicle margins, and floorplan controls. Attributes: Organised, self-motivated, proactive, driven, and possessing an assertive leadership presence. References: Clear, contactable references from previous automotive employer(s).
