Are you an analytical thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain and demand planning? Join a dynamic international beauty business and play a key role in ensuring that the right products are available, at the right time, in the right quantities across South Africa. As Demand Planner, you will own forecasting for a portfolio of iconic fragrance and beauty brands, using data, market intelligence and commercial insights to optimise inventory and support business performance. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service and international Supply Chain teams, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of commercial and supply chain. The role will include the following: Develop and maintain 12-18-month rolling demand forecasts for your assigned portfolio. Analyse sales trends, deviations and market data to improve forecast accuracy and identify opportunities. Incorporate insights from distributors, Sales, Marketing, Finance and customers into forecasting decisions. Support the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process and highlight key business risks and opportunities. Reconcile forecast variances against financial budgets and provide meaningful analysis to stakeholders. Manage short-term demand opportunities and forecast changes based on market intelligence. Work closely with Customer Service to support timely order processing and product availability. Collaborate with international Supply Planning teams to identify and manage short- to medium-term supply risks. Requirements are as follows: 3+ years' experience in Demand Planning or Supply Planning. Strong supply chain knowledge is essential, with a sound understanding of how demand, supply, inventory and commercial activity interact. Experience with S&OP and forecasting processes. FMCG, cosmetics, beauty or consumer goods experience would be advantageous. Experience working within a distributor model and\/or international organisation is beneficial. Strong analytical and numerical ability, with excellent attention to detail. Confident communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent planning, organisational and time-management skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. The ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
