SUMMARY:
Client based in the Midrand is recruiting for a Desktop Engineer on a 6 months contract basis.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

Matric essential
A+ & N+ and solid 2 years desktop support experience
2-3 years experience in provide support on IT infrastructure, CCTV, biometrics/access system, machine room (air-con, FDS, UPS), office printers, PABX, Video Conferencing and WI-FI

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, configure and support PC hardware and software in Microsoft environment
Adding, modifying and deleting of user id’s for network, e-mail and internet
License management
Install, maintain, configure and support MS products such as MS Exchange, MS Office etc.
Provide technical support to end users
PC/laptop failure analysis and recovery; ensure faults are punctually reported and fixed
Provide support for day to day IT operations, including IT infrastructure, CCTV, biometrics/access system, machine room (air-con, FDS, UPS), office printers, PABX, Video Conferencing and WI-FI
Liaison with supplier’s technical support
Quotations on IT related software and hardware products
Implementation, management and adherence to IT security policies and procedures
Documentation relating to projects and systems and procedures
IT Infrastructure housekeeping and management
IT infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, improvement planning execution as per projects
Create, modify and delete VPN users
Provide support for company provided cell phones
