Digital Content and Marketing Specialist

SUMMARY:
A national electrical wholesaler requires a Digital Content and Marketing Specialist for their Durban branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing brand awareness, audience engagement, and lead generation through the development and implementation of high-quality digital content and results-oriented marketing campaigns.
This role demands a combination of creative thinking and technical proficiency, with the ability to produce engaging content while overseeing data-driven marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will contribute significantly to strengthening our digital presence and provide support and mentorship to a junior team member.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow digital platforms, including social media channels and website content
• Conceptualise, create, and execute engaging content (copywriting, photography, videography, and editing)
• Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns across Google and social media platforms
• Set up, manage, and optimise paid media campaigns, including retargeting strategies
• Implement SEO best practices to improve organic visibility and website performance
• Configure and manage tracking through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics (GA4)
• Monitor, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing actionable insights
• Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to ensure cohesive campaign execution
• Provide guidance and support to the Junior Digital Marketer on content rollout and platform management

• Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in digital marketing with a strong focus on both content creation and campaign execution
• Proven experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns
• Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including retargeting
• Experience in SEO implementation and website content management (e.g. WordPress or similar CMS)
• Practical experience with Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, and analytics tools
• Demonstrated ability to create content independently (photography, videography, and editing)

• Google Ads Display Certification
• Google Analytics (GA4) Certification
• Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate or Media Buying Professional

• Experience in automotive, technical, or product-based industries
• Basic design skills for quick-turn content
• Experience working in a small, fast-paced team environment
