Digital Specialist 📍 Cape Town, Western Cape Industry: Broadcasting & Media Are you a creative digital storyteller with a passion for growing online audiences? Our client, a leading radio station based in Cape Town , is looking for a dynamic Digital Specialist to drive its digital strategy, grow its online presence, and create compelling content that connects with audiences across multiple digital platforms. Key Responsibilities As the Digital Specialist, you will: Create, publish, and manage engaging content across the station's website, mobile app, and social media platforms. Transform on-air content into compelling digital assets, including articles, videos, podcasts, reels, and other short-form content. Develop and maintain digital content calendars and publishing schedules. Manage the station's social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant platforms. Develop strategies to increase audience engagement, grow followers, and strengthen online communities. Monitor digital trends and create timely, relevant content that keeps the station at the forefront of audience conversations. Coordinate website updates with the service provider, ensuring content remains accurate, current, user-friendly, and SEO optimised. Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns promoting shows, presenters, competitions, events, and commercial initiatives. Manage email marketing campaigns and subscriber databases. Support paid digital advertising and sponsored campaigns. Monitor website, social media, streaming, and campaign performance using analytics tools. Produce monthly performance reports and provide data-driven recommendations to improve audience growth and campaign effectiveness. Collaborate with presenters, producers, programming, promotions, and sales teams to maximise digital opportunities. Provide digital coverage of outside broadcasts, live events, and promotional activations. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing, Multimedia, or a related field. 2–5 years' experience in digital marketing, content creation, broadcasting, media, or a similar environment. Proven experience managing multiple social media platforms and digital campaigns. Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably WordPress. Radio, broadcasting, or media industry experience will be highly advantageous.
