Reporting directly to the Executive Director: People Management and Engagement, you will provide oversight to the Senior Managers of Human Resources Operations, Talent Management and Remunerations, Benefits and Shared Services. You flourish on leading and directing across all aspects of HR management and employee relations. Developing and implementing HR strategies, policies and procedures is second nature to you, as is driving initiatives around talent acquisition,
retention and motivational programs, compensation, performance management, talent and leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement. In the context of institutional collaboration that supports the University''s mission of academic excellence, research innovation, student success, and systems enhancement, you are recognised for your ability to optimise the performance of staff and partners. Your understanding of legal frameworks about labour laws and
conditions of employment is outstanding.
Underpinning your experience will be a Master''s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or related fields. Your 10 years'' experience has given you excellent exposure to the full scope of HR functions. As a proven HR specialist, you have enjoyed extensive leadership of no less than 5 years gained in a complex organisational environment, preferably in a Higher Education or similar sector. Your ability to build and strengthen stakeholder relationships across boundaries and backgrounds is highly valued. You are ahead of the curve when it comes to establishing HR systems and technical solutions in
complex contexts. Registration with either HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or SABPP will be an added advantage.
