SUMMARY:
Investment Finance Manager
POSITION INFO:
Reporting to the Business Finance Executive, the Divisional Manager: Investment Finance will manage the provision of investment finance services through operational and service excellence in order to ensure clients are able to effectively establish, manage and grow their businesses
The Divisional Manager: Investment Finance will:
• Manage the implementation of the division’s strategic and operational plans, policies and procedures.
• Provide strategies for investment marketing and active investment marketing.
• Review the division’s performance and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance and risk management of all business processes within the division.
• Ensure compliance to corporate and legislative requirements.
• Develop product offerings in line with market needs.
• Manage the processes of operations in terms of loan applications by:
- monitoring and directing actions of the team, ensuring that policies and procedures are being followed and services are being provided efficiently and effectively
• Aggressively drive market share growth for Business Finance, ensuring that the team meet or exceed goals.
• Manage communication and inter-departmental relationships and cooperation.
• Handle complex projects for the division.
• Provide input into preparation of investment reports and present reports to EXCO when required.
• Manage strategic partnerships with all key stakeholders.
• Provide input and manage division’s annual budget, implement controls in order to ensure adherence to budget.
• Manage Human Capital.
The following minimum requirements must be met to be considered for this position:
• Post Graduate degree in Finance/Marketing/Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• Five (5) years’ experience, in an SMME financing environment.
• Five (5) years’ experience in leading and managing a team.
• Extensive experience in sourcing of potential business opportunities.
Requisite Functional Competencies:
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• Knowledge and experience in financial planning and forecasting.
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Finance Management Act.
• Knowledge of Corporate Governance Principles.
• Knowledge of enterprise risk management concepts, frameworks and methodology.
• Knowledge of financial management and investment packaging.
• Knowledge of fraud prevention strategies.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g., Banks Act, FAIS, FICA, and NCA.
