Document Controller

SUMMARY:
In this role, you will manage the lifecycle of all technical and project documentation—from engineering drawings to final handover packages. You will bridge communication between EPC contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure total document integrity, rapid transmittals, and statutory compliance

POSITION INFO:
The Tech Stack Deep-Dive Document Management & EDMS Systems Must-Haves: Enterprise EDMS platforms (Aconex, SharePoint, ProjectWise, OpenText, or Procore). Nice-to-Haves: Advanced Excel reporting tools, document register automation, and specialized project control databases. Processes, Workflows & Technical Scope Must-Haves: Document numbering schemes, transmittals, revision control, review workflows, correspondence management, and technical drawing\/specification handling. Nice-to-Haves: Vendor document control, inspection record indexing, and complete project handover\/commissioning dossier assembly. Standards & Domain Context Must-Haves: Knowledge of engineering, construction, and EPC document workflows. Nice-to-Haves: Experience on South African petroleum storage, oil & gas, energy, or industrial construction projects. Key Responsibilities (Keep it brief) End-to-End EDMS Management: Process, register, track, and distribute all incoming and outgoing project deliverables, technical drawings, and correspondence via the EDMS. Workflow & Revision Quality Control: Enforce document numbering standards, verify metadata accuracy, and route design packages to engineers for timely review and sign-off. Dossier Assembly & Final Handover: Audit contractor submissions and assemble complete, fully traceable handover dossiers for operations and commissioning teams
