JOB SUMMARY:
A dynamic company based in the South of JHB is looking to employ a draughtsman with 3-5 years’ experience in a technical environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements

Matric
Appropriate post school qualification in technical drawing
Experience working in a technical industry e.g. Manufacturing, Fabrication & Engineering
MS Office & CAD e.g. TurboCAD & AutoCAD, or relevant program
Producing working technical drawings (2D) and producing model drawings (3D) from sketches and/or samples.
Creating new vocabs and new drawing numbers for new or existing customers
Updating drawings with relevant parts and materials on TurboCAD
Ensuring drawing specification/change request forms are filled and filed in a soft and hard document format
Filing approved drawings in the drawings archive room
Updating the master drawing register with new drawings, approved drawings, cancelled drawings and drawings awaiting approval.
Providing technical support to Production and Sales teams
Design and prepare drawings using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
Knowledge of technical drawing
Produce effective product designs by using engineering and manufacturing techniques
Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new projects or products
Work from rough sketches, samples and specifications created by Sales Engineers
Produce draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
