JOB DESCRIPTION:

ESTIMATOR
To effectively prepare a tender document through considering all its functions including detailed analysis, pricing the bill of quantities, populating and analyzing the risks of the tender prior to submission.
Bill of Quantity
Comprehensively analyse tender document through applying SWOT analysis to enable systematic section breakdown that would allow efficient pricing of document.
Ensure an understanding of client requirements and possible risks associated with the tender. Thoroughly process each section on candy after breakdown to ensure sections are clear.
Effectively engage with all possible subcontractors and ensure that a sufficient amount of pricing options is presented, where after each quotation are to be analysed by applying your mind prior to rate adjudication which will allow for accurate pricing to items on the bill.
Develop final bill of quantities in a manner that would increase profitability of organization.
Document Functionality
Strategically gather all returnables required for the tender.
Apply a professional approach in preparing the documentation by showing a high regard for attention to detail which would ensure that each tender document will present the organization in a highly professional and favorable manner.
Utilize all tools necessary to lay-out, adjust and present final documentation at the highest level of quality.
Administration
Accurately save and file all copies of tender documents.
Follow up on quotation request in a timeous manner.
Diligently manage external communication via email, telephone and effective time management. - Manage all post tender engagement in a professional and efficient manner, including the gathering of SHE documentation, contractor engagement and other relevant tasks
EDUCATION AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:
National Diploma in Building
BA Quantity Surveying
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
3 years of Quantity Surveying
2 years as junior estimator

SALARY R15-25k per month
