JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for an experienced Exports Logistics Supervisor to join their dynamic team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Grade 12 with Math as a subject
Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in Warehouse / Logistics

Experience and Requirements:

A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience as Warehouse / Logistics Manager/Co-Ordinator
Computer literate on Ms Office Suite and Syspro
Able to speak an African language
Own Transport and a valid driver’s licence is essential
Have a stable work record and contactable references
Of sober habits
Physically fit and able to work on your feet
Excellent communication skills
Interpersonal and organisational skills
Excellent customer service skills
In debt knowledge about the product the company sells
Knowledge of transport rates and services
Basic financial skills- e.g., calculations
Negotiation skills
General administration skills
Problem solving skills
Presentation skills
Knowledge of Warehousing ideally from a steel trading background
Knowledge of Logistics- specifically the packing and consolidation of load and planning of trips
Knowledge of GIT Insurance
Knowledge of Transport SLA’s
Knowledge of pre-shipment inspections and documentation related to inspections
Knowledge of Export documentation
Basic HR knowledge- to manage Warehouse employee
Knowledge of Health and Safety Act and how this is applied in Warehouse
Knowledge of the company’s stock control system
Knowledge of security requirements in the Warehouse
