SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing electrical and instrumentation systems in industrial environments. This role requires a proactive professional who can deliver reliable solutions, ensure compliance with South African safety regulations, and contribute to enhanced operational efficiency.

POSITION INFO:
Key Objectives:

Systems Design: Develop and design electrical and instrumentation systems based on project specifications.
Installation & Commissioning: Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability and system uptime.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues effectively.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with South African safety regulations and industry standards.
Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and maintenance logs.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial environments.
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in design and simulation software.
- Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Certifications: Registration as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) required. Additional certifications in automation or instrumentation technologies will be advantageous.
