SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Electronic Engineering Manager that will provide operational power by developing and maintaining electrical systems. An Electronics Engineer Manager is expected to lead both projects and people in the team. We need a team player who will assist in mentoring and coaching of junior team members.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities

Management of the entire electronics department including managing the three main divisions of the electronics team:

Innovation / Engineering

Ensure work done according to the agreed schedule.
Feedback to Operations Manager on design products.
Prioritise the development of new technology in line with business needs.
Keep up to date with the latest trends.
Review and accept engineering decisions.

Production

Planning, scheduling, control by means of process mapping, measurement and optimisation.
Liaising with electronics buyer
Review production deadlines and ensure a smooth running of the production line.
Direct intervention where there are problems.
Ensure work done according to the agreed schedule.
Oversee and prioritise the repair of production work.
Machinery is working correctly and health and safety rules, along with the code of conduct are followed.

Compliance / Documentation

Ensure new items introduced into electronics have the necessary documentation - SOP’s, testing documentation, troubleshooting guides.
Ensure compliance and those necessary standards are adhered to.
Research and communicate safety and compliance requirements relating to current products, new product categories, and expansion of sales to new regions.
Ensure that safety and compliance requirements are met in aspects of a product such as labelling, packaging artwork, user manuals, product manuals, and instruction booklets.

Requirements

BSc Electronic Engineering
Strong understanding of digital and analogue circuits
5 years of experience in an electronic production management role
