A technology company in Randburg is seeking an embedded software engineer.

POSITION INFO:
We are actively seeking a dedicated Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic andrapidly growing engineering team. We develop innovative power electronics systems for
the railway, commercial vehicle, defence, and mining industries. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled and passionate individual looking to grow their career in embedded systems development within a high-impact environment.

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in embedded C development, electronics, and
microprocessor programming. We place a high value on adaptability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn—traits that align with our culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

You’ll work on industry-leading products including vehicle control units, IPMSM inverters, DCDC power converters, and specialized electronic controllers. These systems are deployed globally in the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East—meeting demanding standards in safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software architectures
- Program in C/C++ for a range of microcontroller platform
- Develop device drivers and physical layer communication protocols
- Implement and maintain vehicle-specific application logic
- Design and document firmware APIs and system integration interfaces
- Assist in software testing, validation, and QA procedures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to align system-level design

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
- Solid experience in embedded C programming
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Passion for embedded systems and real-time applications
- Willingness to learn and contribute in a multi-disciplinary team
