JOB SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a resource to fulfil the role of an onsite Endpoint Security Engineer out bound customer project work and managed endpoint security services for primarily Carbon Black EDR/AV. This is a permanent role based in Midrand.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Matric plus Degree/Diploma in Information and Communication Technology

Tasks:

Provide technical support, including reporting and security application software management and administration.
Perform daily system and agent health checks to ensure system and agents and endpoints are compliant.
Manage and define policies as they relate to anti-virus, anti-malware, EDR/AV solutions
Keep security systems documentation up to date.
Maintain awareness of latest security risks, exploits and vulnerabilities and apply them to the client environment as required.
Investigate security event escalations and report on risks and vulnerabilities with suggested recommendations.
Upon virus detection(s) initiate urgent action for restoring status quo to the infected endpoints so as to meet the Service levels.
Assist to create plans for implementation/release management projects.
Raise concerns to management regarding endpoint security deficiencies or enhancements that need to be addressed.
Work with client to design and implement a stable, secure and optimized endpoint environment.
Ensuring version upgrades/patch updates as per OEM recommendation subject to client change control approval process.
Good understanding and adherence to the ITIL framework.
Log OEM 3rd level support calls and resolve as per OEM resolution to resolve issue as per client OEM Support Level.
Compile and submit Root Cause Analysis as per SLA.
Provide snag list of non-compliant endpoints that cannot be resolved remotely to the client on a monthly basis to manage risk.
