Engineering Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, are a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, renowned for our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. As they continue to expand their operations and enhance our capabilities, they are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Engineering Manager to lead they’re engineering team and drive operational excellence across our production facilities.

POSITION INFO:

• Leadership & Management: Direct and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance. Mentor and develop team members, ensuring optimal engagement and professional growth.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s business goals, focusing on maximizing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Maintenance & Reliability: Lead the maintenance operations to ensure reliability and availability of all manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. Implement proactive maintenance practices to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Innovation & Improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize production processes through technological innovation and process re-engineering. Champion the adoption of new technologies and lean manufacturing principles.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards. Promote a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). A Master’s degree or an MBA would be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an engineering management role within the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record of managing engineering teams and successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong technical expertise in manufacturing processes and automation technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, including OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards.
