POSITION INFO:

Job Description: The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and grow engineering teams responsible for the development and ongoing enhancement of advanced technology products. The role combines people leadership, strategic planning, technical oversight, delivery management, recruitment, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include: Lead and motivate engineering teams to maximise engagement and successful delivery of product releases. Provide mentorship, coaching, career guidance, and regular one-on-one support to team members Define priorities, objectives, and measurable outcomes for engineering teams. Assist in removing delivery obstacles and improving team performance. Manage team capacity, resource planning, succession planning, and skills development. Support recruitment activities, including defining job specifications and onboarding new employees. Drive and refine software development processes and engineering best practices. Oversee planning, estimation, delivery tracking, and reporting across engineering initiatives. Guide technical design discussions and collaborate with stakeholders on key engineering decisions Ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle, including source control and continuous integration strategies. Manage dependencies across teams and align engineering efforts with broader business objectives. Support customer engagements, technical escalations, and product-related initiatives when required. Assist with product training, technical guidance, and pre-sales support activities Skills & Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience within software engineering environments, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experience in team leadership, software development processes, release management, project delivery, and process improvement. Strong understanding of Agile development practices and engineering delivery methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Experience with planning, organizing, mentoring, facilitation, and performance management. Proven knowledge of engineering processes and software release management. Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical guidance.
