JOB SUMMARY:
To provide technical capacity to the meter reading and Revenue Consulting team/s.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

B Tech/ B Sc Electrical Engineering or GCC Electrical (Factories) or Pr. Eng. / Pr. Cert. Eng.
5 years’ experience relevant experience in revenue management projects, metering, asset management, Loss management, network and reticulation projects.
Must have a valid driver license EC1 and own vehicle is an advantage.
Expected to work long hours from time to time and expected to travel.

Duties & responsibilities:

Inspection / Quality Assurance for metering activities and / or contractor tasks
Input data about customer consumption
Assess problematic utility meters identified during the month to ensure the device is working properly and free of mechanical or electrical defects.
Provide advice and training where the meter readers lack understanding of tariffs, device operation and calculations for billing.
Inspect and verify customer metering and associated devices to reconcile consumption and charges as per tariff structure/s inclusive of CT ratio settings and programming.
Lead meter audits and meter installation standards and operations.
Report inoperable and malfunctioning devices or unauthorized changes to the meter
Complete routine maintenance tasks or make small repairs to the utility meter as and when requested
Log all details of each shift including completed tasks and incidents
Compile reports of audits, inspections, and deviations with recommendations for corrective action and mitigating of incorrect billing.
Perform and/or witness meter accuracy testing.
Resolve Metering disputes.
