Events Coordinator / PA (POS23348)

Durban North

R 8000 per month

Requirements:

Matric or Tertiary Education
Ideally to reside in Durban North, Umhlanga, La Lucia area
Must have own functioning vehicle
Extreme extrovert - good on the phone, sales calls, working with people - so extremely confident
Any previous event experience or similar would be advantageous
A keen interest in the events industry, and wanting to grow with the company.
Own laptop would be great to start but the company can provide one if necessary
Business phone is provided

Role is as follows:

Office based position in Durban North (Glen Anil) -
Hours would be Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm ,office based for 6 months with the option to go remote in the future
Shopping for items, collection of items from vendors
Site inspections for venues/event site inspections
Meeting with clients for pitches, presentations etc
Answering emails, and phone calls
Dealing with potential clients back and forth for changes to quotes/events
Managing the business whatsapp line, social media comments and enquiries, including LinkedIn
Sales Navigator LinkedIn management
Quotes/Quoting for jobs
Following up with clients on potential quotes
Assistance with the running and management of our public events - dealing with venues, route plans, etc
Assisting owner with day-to-day admin duties and personal duties - house management such as management of staff at house

Here is what is offered:

Salary is – R8000 basic a month - they will also get a petrol allowance for doing site visits, meetings with clients, shopping, and collecting/dropping off stuff. There is a commission structure of R800 per client that signs up for an event with them. There is also the option to work at events on the weekends where they can get paid anything from R400-R800 per shift worked at an event.
