Executive: Finance

Responsible for financial management and reporting
Responsible for providing and supporting commercial insight using forward-looking
driver information and analysing business-specific trends , ensuring alignment and supporting decisions that are congruent with the objectives of this division and the Group as a whole
Together with the Commercial Executive, responsible for costing and pricing inputs as well as margin guidance and reporting to the business
Communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as the organisation’s internal control framework and accounting policies
Fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly, both internally and externally
Responsible for the business’ external audit and audit finding management (clean audit outcomes)
Custodian of business financial controls with specific emphasis on internal controls and commercial models, including new pricing models
Partner with the business in ensuring optimal working capital management
Risk assessment and compliance
Lead, direct and manage the Finance function
Support of the Company's Group’s Corporate Finance function (including mergers, acquisitions and the preparation and submission of related concept and position papers)
Working capital management and reporting
Compile budgets and forecasts, and drive adherence to these, as well as reporting thereon
Support value-adding projects at greater Group level
Drive the optimisation of systems and cost containment initiatives
Support the implementation of commercial competence centres (market intelligence, best practices, logistics and compliance universe)
Support talent management and Employment Equity initiatives
Support the articulation and communication of company's Water’s strategy internally and to the Board
Lead and manage a team of professionals

Requirements:
BCom Account Hons, CA (SA)
Relevant post-graduate Business/Finance Degree (e.g. MBA, CFA beneficial)
Strong financial acumen
Minimum 9 – 12 years’ experience as a Senior Financial Manager
Minimum six years as Head of Finance reporting to an Executive in a large organisation
In-depth knowledge of finance and accepted accounting standards
Good working knowledge of accounting software systems
Working knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
Sound knowledge of the regulatory, statutory and compliance frameworks affecting area of responsibility
Past experience in cross-border acquisitions and transactions
