JOB SUMMARY:
Looking for a highly energetic Executive and new Business Development Assistant for one of the leaders within the hunting industry – Min 5 years solid experience. This position will require good solid financial experience, good emotional intelligence, and ability to potentially travel extensively. The successful candidate needs to be fluent in English and Afrikaans. The nature of the CEO’s activities demands 24-hour contact in line with time zone differences while he is travelling internationally.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience

Proven financial and administrative experience.
Academic history and qualifications will be beneficial.
Fully bilingual with good writing skills.
Good emotional intelligence.
Good personality fit with the CEO as tested by the Myers Briggs MBTI test.
Ability to solve practical problems and come up with creative solutions.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to work extended hours at times, for example; compiling the month end pack will require after hours work with the financial team under direction of the CFO.
There may be extensive travelling at times with international travel a strong possibility.
Ability to foster good professional interpersonal relationships with operational teams, key suppliers, partners and non-executive directors.
Ability to manage projects on behalf of the CEO in his absence compiling lists of what is outstanding.

Duties and responsibilities

Manage the communication of clients and personnel with the CEO.
Taking charge of all travel arrangements of the CEO, nonexecutive directors and key stakeholders.
Taking responsibility for arrangements around key supplier entertainment, travel and hospitality.
Undertake and monitor research on special projects to provide crucial information to the CEO at the appropriate time.
Conduct research and make delivery on any intelligence that will have a strong impact on proposition development for any new investment project of the organization in conjunction and with guidance from the CFO's office.
Keeping track of all legal interactions with the legal team compiling minutes with action items for every interaction.
Following up with the legal team on deadlines and progress without the assistance of the CEO. Sending through a progress report for the CEO's attention, highlighting potential issues.
Bring in-house all company secretarial duties and ....
Perform various tasks, like recording minutes during CEO meetings and circulating minutes afterwards to attendees.
Scheduling half and full-year board meetings, ensuring that every director receives his board pack timeously.
Arrange monthly or quarterly interactions with the senior executives of every business unit. Accurately compile minutes within 7 days from interaction, circulating minutes in a timely and
professional manner.
Assimilating all information required by the CEO for his monthly/quarterly operational review packs and compiling it in a professional manner. Ensure he receives this in time to be
sufficiently prepared for the meeting.
Work under the direction of the CEO daily.
Monitoring budgets and highlighting areas of concern to the CEO.
