Export Controller

A vacancy has arisen in Pietermaritzburg for a company in the Shipping and Logistics department for an experienced Export Controller.

Reporting to the Shipping Manager, the incumbent will perform the following:

• Handling of proper documentation, including transit documents and customer clearances.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately processed and released to customers and agents timeously.
• Prepare SARS Bill of Entries and Transnet Port Terminal container releases.
• Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations.
• Plan and schedule appropriate modes of transportation based on daily needs.
• Monitor and track global movement of goods to verify order fulfilment.
• Ensure correct dispatch information is passed to respective warehouses.

Minimum Essential Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 12 Pass
• Shipping& Logistics/Export experience would be an advantage
• 2 years’ General Administration Experience
• Good Oral & Written Communication Skills
• Problem solving abilities, with an aptitude for attention to details
• Computer literacy in MS Office suite
• Syspro ERP experience would be an advantage
