Export Sales Representative - Global

SUMMARY:
Our client, in electrical wholesale requires a dynamic Export Sales Representative with experience in export operations in Africa.  Applicants may be based in KZN or Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Key Job Functions

• Visit existing customer base in various SADC countries and grow the customer base in each of the countries
• Increase sales and profit in the assigned countries
• Assist in the pricing of tenders and enquiries for export customers and other associated tasks
• Develop and maintain relationships with staff, international and local suppliers and customers
• Field all export enquiries and follow up on quotes submitted & Compile Quotes/Tenders
• Oversee the generating of necessary export documentation
• Arrange pre-clearing of goods
• Overseeing and obtaining authorisation for trans-shipments
• Develop Marketing plans to achieve sales targets and increase brand visibility within the assigned countries
• Drive the approval of products with the Utilities in the assigned countries and include feedback in the monthly report
• Arrange Costing for Tenders for products to be Imported -

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Import/Export experience an important advantage
• Knowledge of Incoterms, Letters of Credit, Customs clearance, Tariff headings and Duties, SADC Certificates and all associated Import and Export Documentation

• 2+ years’ experience in sales with electrical background
• Good overall knowledge of OHL, Cable & LV products
• Import/export purchasing experience a distinct advantage

• Good communication in English
• Computer literate (Excel, Google Sheets & Docs, MS Word and Emails)
• Electrical background
• Import/export Incoterms
