External Sales Consultant (Johannesburg)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Descriptions:

vFull time External Sales Consultant based on the road, with a large multinational design house based in Johannesburg.

vRequired to work every second Saturdays.

Main purpose of the job:

vPromotes and sells Interior design items for merchandise, sample books and partnership programmes to customers within the design fashion industry area and develops new business and grows existing business in order to meet sales targets.

Requirements:

vNational Senior Certificate.

vTertiary Certificate / Diploma in Sales & Marketing is an advantage.

vMinimum 2 years sales experience in an External sales environment advantageous.

vExposure to an interior Design / Décor environment is an advantage.

vMust have valid drivers licence and own, reliable transport.

Ideal candidate:

vSales driven with proven track record.

vStrong interest in Design & Décor.

vOutgoing, dynamic and driven.

vHighly motivated, loyal and committed.

vAble to work independently.

vStrong negotiation and presentation skills.

Main duties:

vVisit customers according to contact plan, customer needs identified and advice provided on the appropriate selection, price and care of products.

vExcellent product knowledge demonstrated, samples and product ranges demonstrated, replacement items offered on discontinued ranges or out of stock items.

vSpecial import ranges and additional products promoted and sold.

vSample books updated and discontinued ranges removed, new products, specials and promotions highlighted.

vSample books and partnership programmes sold.

vOrders taken and referred to Sales Administrators.

vSales leads identified and contact made, client base increased and customer accounts opened according to policy.

vRegular feedback on queries and delivery dates provided, issues and queries dealt with promptly and courteously, complaints managed and flagged with area manager.

vPayment queries resolved with Finance, payments followed up.

vManage back order list.
