SUMMARY:
We are looking for a driven and customer-focused External Sales Consultant to join our branch team. This role is ideal for someone with a technical sales background, who enjoys being on the road, building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and representing a respected brand in the market.
You will be responsible for growing regional sales, strengthening distributor and installer relationships, and ensuring high service standards across reseller outlets and commercial sites.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and guidance
Conduct regular visits to distributors and installers to ensure that service levels are met
Ensure brand representation at reseller outlets (distributor audits, displays, and marketing materials)
Identify and visit commercial sites (complexes, office parks, and business developments) to present access control solutions
Achieve monthly branch sales targets
Submit structured call reports and feedback to the Branch Manager
Promote and present training courses and product presentations
Provide market feedback on competitors, pricing trends, and new products
Address product-related queries and ensure appropriate internal follow-up
Generate and research new leads, making successful contact with prospective customers
Stay up to date with new and existing product ranges
Assist with internal sales support, including order processing and handling customer queries
Ensure accurate and updated customer information on the company database
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strong inter-departmental communication
Support ad hoc duties such as stock take, deliveries, or occasional technical site visits
Plan and coordinate distributor and area sales strategies to drive business development

- Ability to conduct product training sessions
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite) with exposure to a recognised ERP system
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to work overtime when required

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
Basic knowledge or understanding of electronic and/or mechanical equipment
1–2 years’ experience in a technical sales environment
Reliable and dependable
