SUMMARY:
We're looking for a commercially minded finance leader who can connect the numbers to business performance.

Our client is a growing, data-driven business turning information into insights that help businesses make better decisions. As the business expands, they need a hands-on finance leader who can strengthen the finance function, improve commercial insight and help shape the next stage of growth.

This is a broad role spanning financial management, budgeting and forecasting, financial modelling, business-unit profitability, costing, margins and cash flow. You'll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, improve financial systems and reporting, and identify opportunities to use technology, automation and AI to make finance more effective.

POSITION INFO:
You'll suit this role if you: Are CA(SA) or CIMA qualified , with strong commercial finance, cost and management accounting, and financial modelling experience. Understand profitability, cost drivers, margins and unit economics - and can translate the numbers into practical business decisions. Have experience in a technology, data, fintech, subscription or other commercially driven environment. Experience beyond these sectors will be considered where the commercial and systems exposure is relevant. Have led or contributed to finance transformation, ERP or systems implementation, reporting automation or analytics initiatives . Are curious about how technology and AI can improve financial reporting, analysis and decision-making, and are comfortable putting new ideas into practice. Can operate confidently at Board and senior leadership level while remaining hands-on and close to the detail. Enjoy building, improving and challenging the status quo rather than simply maintaining established processes. Bring a strong commercial mindset, with the ability to balance financial discipline with growth ambitions. The business is also looking to expand into other African markets, so flexibility to travel when required is important. If you're a finance leader who enjoys improving how a business operates, understanding what drives its profitability and using technology to make finance smarter, we'd like to hear from you.
