POSITION INFO:
Our client is a fast-growing, tech-driven business seeking a highly capable and hands-on Head of Finance to step in during a critical transition. This role is focused on stabilising the finance function, strengthening controls, and supporting audit and funding processes.

The role is initially fully remote, with the potential to move to a hybrid role. There is potential for permanent conversion, subject to business performance and liquidity.

This opportunity is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and can deliver immediate, visible impact while partnering closely with the CFO.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Taking full ownership of the finance function and leading the finance team
Stabilising day-to-day finance operations, reporting, and cash flow
Implementing and embedding robust financial processes and controls
Preparing the business for audits and supporting funding and investor reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- BCom in Finance or Accounting
- CA(SA) preferred - CIMA or equivalent will be considered
Experience:
- 5–8 years’ experience in finance, with leadership exposure
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth or tech environments
- Proven ability to bring structure to underdeveloped finance functions
- Audit and/or funding process exposure
Skills and Non-Negotiables:
- Strong Excel and financial reporting capability
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure
- Immediate availability
