POSITION INFO:
A leading, globally recognised manufacturer of precision-engineered components within the aerospace sector is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join their team. This organisation is known for its engineering excellence, innovation, and strong international footprint.

As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the business while supporting strategic decision-making. Operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will work closely with operational teams, including supply chain and production, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, and performance optimisation.

This role offers strong exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a highly technical and operational business.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance
Manage monthly management reporting and provide insightful financial analysis to support business decisions
Drive cost accounting and inventory management processes within a manufacturing environment
Partner with operations and supply chain to improve efficiencies, manage costs, and optimise margins
Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
Ensure adherence to internal controls, governance, and statutory requirements
Manage audits, tax compliance, and liaise with external stakeholders
Lead and develop the finance team, while supporting cross-functional collaboration across departments
Provide input into CAPEX planning and business case evaluations

Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:
CA(SA)
Experience:
Minimum 5–8 years’ post-article experience
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (aviation/aerospace exposure highly advantageous)
Strong background in cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance
Experience working with supply chain and production teams
Exposure to unionised environments and working alongside blue-collar workforce structures is beneficial
