POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Lead and govern the fixed asset accounting function in line with IFRS and company policies. Oversee capitalisation, depreciation, impairment, revaluation and disposal accounting. Maintain the integrity and completeness of the fixed asset register. Lead physical asset verification and reconciliation processes. Partner with Operations, Procurement and Projects on capital expenditure treatment. Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and investigate variances. Prepare, review and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. Ensure accurate fixed asset balances, disclosures and statutory reporting inputs. Support annual financial statement preparation. Provide reporting inputs for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning. Produce management reporting and financial insights relating to capital investment and asset performance. Act as a key finance contact for internal and external audits. Strengthen financial controls and address audit findings and control deficiencies. Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax requirements, legislation and internal governance standards. Provide financial guidance to business stakeholders on asset-related matters. Lead, coach and develop team members within the Fixed Assets and Reporting function. Drive process improvement, accountability and technical capability across the team.
