POSITION INFO:
Our client is a listed services conglomerate based in Midrand, Gauteng, looking for a Finance Operations Accountant who can bridge the gap between finance and the frontline operations. This is a role for someone who wants to understand what is happening beyond the numbers, visiting branches and sites, partnering with operational teams, strengthening controls, managing stock and finding smarter ways of working through AI and automation. Key Responsibilities: Own the month-end accounting function across operations Manage reconciliations, journals and financial reporting Monitor internal controls and compliance Drive stock management, controls and reconciliations Partner with operational teams and provide financial insight Identify cost, process and efficiency improvement opportunities Travel to branches and sites to understand and support operations Leverage AI and automation to improve finance processes Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and decision-making Job Experience and Skills: BCom Degree essential CIMA highly beneficial 3+ years' experience, Articles or commercial experience considered Advanced Microsoft Excel AI and automation experience essential Strong operational finance experience Full accounting function and month-end experience Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance Stock management and control experience Finance Business Partnering experience Advanced Microsoft Excel Assertive, proactive and willing to take initiative Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Willingness to travel to branches and operational sites If you're ready to get out from behind the spreadsheet, understand the operation, challenge the status quo and use technology to make finance smarter, this could be the role for you.
