Finance Operations Administrator

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a Finance Operations Administrator to join their Finance Operations.

Reporting to the FinOps Team Leader, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting financial control of a LISP, Life Company and retirement funds. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within structured operational processes.

The role offers exposure to a fast-paced environment where accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency are essential. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, service providers, and key stakeholders while supporting critical finance operations activities.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit daily investment instructions via various trading platforms. Perform daily reconciliations of investment holdings and units. Process and prepare daily banking instructions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Conduct daily banking reconciliations and investigate any outstanding reconciling items. Resolve operational and administrative queries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain and prepare cashbooks, ensuring accurate allocation of General Ledger entries. Capture, validate, and confirm fund prices and exchange rates. Prepare monthly reconciliations through the collection, analysis, and investigation of financial data. Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding items. Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers and service providers. Assist during audit processes and respond to audit-related requests within agreed timelines. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and operational procedures. Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory requirements, and legislative changes relevant to the financial services sector. Job Experience and Skills Required BCom degree or similar qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Previous experience within the financial services industry. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing business requirements. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. High levels of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities. Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within a routine-driven operational environment. Strong organisational and time management skills.
