SUMMARY:
Our client is currently searching for someone for their Finance and Administrative Manager vacancy within their Johannesburg North based team. Essentially, they are looking to appoint a suitably qualified candidate with at least 3 years’ experience involving and/or within the Properties & Facilities sector. POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree specialising in Accounting, Financial Management and/or Management Accounting
  • Previous working experience involving Properties & Facilities functions and/or within a similar Finance and Administrative Manager position  
  • Advanced Pastel Evolution and Microsoft Excel software skills are required

 

Job description & Skills:

  • Overseeing the management of all journals for weekly and/or monthly provisions and accruals for approval including municipal invoices and weekly payments
  • Ensuring that all invoices from the Pastel software system are captured onto the Pastel Evolution software system monthly including all depreciation and amortisation
  • Ensuring that all Work In Progress (WIP) accruals for completed projects are captured to the building costs account
  • Providing monthly Work in Progress (WIP) accrual reconciliations to be captured onto the Pastel software system
  • Ensuring that the Fixed Asset Register is accurately and/or regularly maintained for the reconciliations
  • Ensuring that Value Added Tax (VAT) returns are submitted monthly, and Value Added Tax (VAT) reconciliations are completed in accordance with Management Accounts
  • Updating the monthly property expenses monthly to provide rental calculations for both owned and leasehold properties within the Group
  • Providing reconciliations on commercial buildings and regular monthly updates to the Facility Management reports
  • Providing Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) monthly reconciliations and monthly budgets reconciliations
  • Reviewing approvals versus spend and/or individual projects operational costs
  • Providing information to assist with the administrative processes and/or division scores involving internal audits
