Our client is seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant who is ready to take ownership and step up as the 2IC to the CFO. This role is ideal for a newly qualified or partly qualified CA(SA) looking for a launchpad into a Financial Manager or CFO position in the near future.
You’ll work in a collaborative environment where you’ll be empowered to add value beyond numbers — contributing to decision-making, driving compliance, and ensuring smooth operational finance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for general accounting functions including processing, reconciliations, and journals
Prepare and ensure compliance of financial statements with IFRS standards
Oversee payroll and salary processing in coordination with HR
Assist CFO with cash flow management and forecasting
Act as the right-hand support to the CFO with strategic financial inputs

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education: CA(SA) – newly qualified or partly qualified
Skills: Strong understanding of IFRS, proficient in general ledger accounting, payroll systems, and financial statement preparation
Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and eager to grow into a leadership role
