SUMMARY:
My client seeking a detail-driven Financial Accountant to oversee reporting, compliance, costing, and financial accuracy for a leading freight forwarding and clearing company based in the East Rand. Step into a role where your insights drive efficiency, profitability, and operational excellence!

POSITION INFO:
Join a well-established logistics provider with a strong national and cross-border footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and month-end close
- Monitor shipment costs, customs charges, warehousing fees & operational expenses
- Oversee VAT, tax compliance & statutory submissions
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting & variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits & strengthen internal controls
- Ensure financial accuracy across clearing, forwarding, invoicing & billing processes

Skills & Requirements:

BCom Accounting / Finance (Honours advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant (freight forwarding / clearing / logistics highly beneficial)
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance
- Experience with cargo systems, clearing/forwarding software or ERP systems advantageous
- Excellent analytical, reporting & communication skills
