POSITION INFO:
Our client, a respected player within the mining and heavy-industrial sector, is looking for a hands-on Operational Accountant to support their high-performance, fast-paced environment. This organisation prides itself on solid leadership, strong values, and a commitment to safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. This role sits at the heart of operations and finance, offering daily exposure to plant activities, production teams, and senior management. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being on-site, engaging with operational teams, and using numbers to tell the real story behind performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for plant and operational cost accounting
Daily, weekly, and monthly production and cost reporting
Analysis of variances, efficiencies, and cost drivers
Budgeting and forecasting for operational units
Ensuring accurate inventory, stock management, and cost controls

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Bcom degree in a related field required
Completed articles advantageous
4+ years within a similar role
Operational experience beneficial
