POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
Based in Johannesburg, this opportunity offers exposure to a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment where accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial control are key.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate month-end journals and ensure timely general ledger close
- Review income statements and balance sheets across multiple stores or divisions
- Manage stock reconciliations and inventory accounting
- Monitor gross margins and assist with profitability analysis
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with South African tax legislation
- Assist with income tax calculations and statutory submissions
- Support management reporting, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance across branches
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements

Job Experience & Skills Required :
Strong IFRS knowledge
- Retail or high-volume transactional environment experience advantageous
- Solid stock and inventory accounting experience
- ERP system experience (retail systems advantageous)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical ability
- Ability to meet strict reporting deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- BCom Degree in Accounting (essential)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial finance environment
