POSITION INFO:

Company and Job Description

Join a leading engineering organisation based in Gauteng, known for delivering complex technical and infrastructure projects. The finance team plays a key role in supporting project performance, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger, journals, and reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Drive month-end and year-end close processes
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Assist with project cost tracking and financial performance reporting
Maintain and manage the fixed asset register
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
Assist with audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education / Professional Qualification:

BCom Accounting or related qualification
Professional membership qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, SAIPA, or similar

Experience:

Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar accounting role
Exposure to engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments advantageous

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
ERP system exposure advantageous
