POSITION INFO:
A well-established and respected organisation based in Johannesburg North is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This opportunity offers the chance to play a key role in maintaining the financial health of the business while providing valuable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full finance function, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full finance function from start to finish. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards. Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and statutory submissions. Assist with financial controls, process improvements, and risk management initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team. Support strategic decision-making through accurate reporting and financial analysis. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls Job Experience and Skills Required: Degree or National Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Completed articles will be highly advantageous. Approximately 10 years of finance experience (less experience may be considered for the right candidate). Proven experience managing the full finance function. Strong auditing experience is essential. Previous management or team leadership experience. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
