Faerie Glen, Pretoria | Up to R620 000 CTC per annum

Are you a hands-on Financial Accountant who enjoys getting behind the numbers, understanding what drives business performance and turning financial information into meaningful commercial insight?

An established organisation is looking for an ambitious, high-energy finance professional to join its team in Faerie Glen.

This opportunity offers strong exposure across financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and operational finance, with excellent scope for long-term career growth.

The ideal candidate is technically strong in financial accounting but also wants to broaden their commercial and management accounting exposure.

POSITION INFO:
Duties & Responsibilities Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports Support the month-end and year-end financial close Prepare journals, adjustments and reconciliations Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts Prepare commentary and explanations around financial performance Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets Prepare financial forecasts and projections Develop and maintain financial models Analyse historical results, trends and operational information to support forecasting Monitor key financial and operational KPIs Analyse cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies Support cost-control initiatives and monitor their effectiveness Work closely with operational and departmental stakeholders to understand financial performance Prepare comprehensive management accounts and reporting packs Provide financial insights to support management decision-making Support long-term financial planning and scenario analysis Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and financial regulations Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, controls and reporting templates Assist with audit preparation and maintain accurate supporting documentation Minimum Requirements BCom degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles will be highly advantageous Approximately 2-3 years' post-articles \/ commercial finance experience Strong financial accounting and reporting experience Exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience working on an ERP\/accounting system Strong analytical and problem-solving ability The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Ambitious and growth-driven Hands-on and willing to get involved at operational level High energy with a go-getter mentality Commercially curious and interested in understanding the story behind the numbers Detail-orientated without losing sight of the bigger picture Comfortable engaging with stakeholders outside of finance Looking for a company where they can grow their career over the long term Location: Faerie Glen, Pretoria CTC: Up to R620 000 per annum , depending on experience and qualifications Apply now!
