SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Manage month-end accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations Prepare accurate monthly financial reports and supporting schedules through to trial balance level Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in line with regulatory requirements Maintain the fixed asset register and process monthly depreciation journals Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors during annual audit engagements Provide financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc support to management and key stakeholders Review customer and supplier reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as required Support and guide finance administration staff to ensure efficient and effective daily operations Assist in strengthening internal controls and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities Skills & Experience: 3 to 5 years of accounting experience within a commercial or corporate environment Strong understanding of month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial accounting principles Sound knowledge of VAT, payroll taxes, and South African statutory and regulatory requirements Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for identifying trends and resolving discrepancies High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Qualification: Completed SAIPA or SAICA articles Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
