POSITION INFO:
Not all Financial Accountant roles are created equal. My client is a significant player within the oil and energy value chain, managing large-scale operations, high-value assets and complex financial environments that demand more than just technical accounting ability. This is the type of business where finance is deeply embedded in commercial decision-making and where strong performers quickly become visible. The successful CA(SA) will join a finance team that offers exposure well beyond month-end reporting, including operational finance, business partnering, project involvement and strategic decision support. Key Responsibilities Preparation and review of monthly management accounts Financial reporting and statutory compliance Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis Support external and internal audit processes Assist with tax and regulatory reporting requirements Drive process improvement and finance optimisation initiatives Partner with operational stakeholders to support business performance Job Experience & Skills Required CA(SA) qualification is essential Newly qualified CA(SA) to 3 years post-articles experience Big 4 or reputable audit background advantageous Exposure to energy, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, FMCG or other asset-intensive industries preferred Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills Experience working on large ERP systems advantageous Strong analytical ability with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders Apply Now!
