POSITION INFO:
A well-established group within the manufacturing sector is looking for a Financial Accountant who is comfortable managing the full accounting function across multiple entities. This role will suit a hands-on finance professional who can work independently, manage payroll and statutory requirements, and keep the finance function running accurately and efficiently from a remote environment. You'll be responsible for everything from trial balance and management reporting through to payroll, SARS submissions, reconciliations and audit preparation. If you're organised, technically strong and confident working with Sage Evolution, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities Manage full-function accounting across multiple entities, including processing up to trial balance and assisting with management accounts and cash flow reporting. Process monthly payroll on Sage Payroll Professional, including UIF declarations, claims and annual ROE submissions. Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT201, EMP201, EMP501, provisional tax and corporate income tax. Prepare year-end audit files, fixed asset registers, provisions and supporting schedules, while responding to auditor queries. Perform supplier, VAT and balance sheet reconciliations and assist with payment processing through Standard Bank Business Online. Maintain accurate inventory records and provide financial support to the manufacturing operations. Minimum Requirements BCom Degree in Accounting is essential. Minimum 3 years' commercial accounting experience, with manufacturing exposure advantageous. Strong hands-on experience with Sage Evolution. Practical experience with Sage Payroll Professional. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a remote environment.
