SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established Manufacturing/FMCG business based in Meyerton, is seeking a recently qualified CA(SA) with approximately 2 years post-articles experience to join their finance team. This role is ideally suited to a candidate who has gained exposure to a manufacturing or FMCG environment and has strong experience in plant finance, budgeting, forecasting, operational finance, and business reporting.
The successful candidate will partner closely with plant operations and senior management to drive financial performance, cost control, and operational efficiencies across the business.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Analyse financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making. Assist with strategic planning and financial modelling initiatives. Plant Finance & Operations: Act as the finance business partner to plant and operational management teams. Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, production efficiencies, and plant performance. Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities. Ensure accurate allocation and control of manufacturing overheads. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports. Develop and maintain management dashboards and KPI reporting. Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Present financial performance reports to senior management. Financial Control: Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to company policies. Support month-end and year-end reporting processes. Assist with audit requirements and statutory compliance. Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information. Minimum Requirements: Qualifications: Qualified CA(SA) (essential). Approximately 2 years post-articles experience . Experience: Experience within Manufacturing or FMCG environments is essential. Strong exposure to plant finance and operational finance. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting. Experience analysing manufacturing costs and overheads. Exposure to business partnering with operational stakeholders. Systems & Technical Skills: SAP experience is non-negotiable. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUP\/XLOOKUP Complex formulas Data modelling Financial reporting and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Competencies: Excellent attention to detail. Strong commercial acumen. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
