Our client is seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Krugersdorp and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting sound financial decision-making. If you have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a Financial Accountant position or similar financial role , strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles, this could be the next opportunity for you! Minimum requirements BCom Accounting, BCompt, or a similar relevant degree is required Matric with Mathematics and Accounting is essential Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in a Financial Accountant position or similar financial role is essential Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and Syspro Experience within a multi-entity or group structure will be advantageous Experience within the agricultural, farming or similar operational environment will be advantageous but is not essential Knowledge of applicable South African tax, statutory and regulatory requirements will be advantageous Fluent in Afrikaans (speak, read and write) and English Strong financial and accounting knowledge, with the ability to prepare, analyse and interpret financial statements Ability to work effectively with various departments and operational teams and communicate financial information in a clear and understandable manner Must be willing and able to work full-time from the office at the head office in Krugersdorp Skills required Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse financial data, identify trends and variances, and make clear recommendations to management Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial processing, recordkeeping and reporting Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines within a dynamic working environment Duties and responsibilities Process and manage general ledger entries and journals, ensuring that transactions are accurately recorded and properly allocated Prepare and process journal entries in accordance with applicable accounting procedures and financial requirements Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies where required Provide support with month-end processes, ensuring that financial information is accurately captured and reconciled within required deadlines Assist with year-end processes and ensure that all relevant financial records and supporting documentation are prepared accurately Compile financial reports to provide accurate and relevant financial information to management Prepare annual IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) financial statements in accordance with applicable reporting requirements Provide support with the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts Monitor cost allocations to ensure that costs are accurately allocated to the appropriate accounts, departments, or areas of the business Prepare financial analyses to support management with informed financial decision-making Use SYSPRO as the accounting system to capture, process, maintain, and retrieve relevant financial information Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards, legislation, policies, and accounting requirements Liaise with auditors by providing relevant financial information, supporting documentation, and assistance during audit processes Work closely with operational teams to support effective financial control within the farming environment Monitor financial information and transactions to support accurate financial control and reporting Assist with identifying financial discrepancies and provide relevant information to support corrective actions Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation in line with accounting and reporting requirements Remuneration R 50 000 Cost to Company (included is a medical aid and pension fund), depending on experience IMPORTANT: Applications close 18 September 2026 If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
