Financial Accountant Location: Stellenbosch, Western Cape Employment Type: Permanent About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a growing investment and property-focused business. This role offers exposure to a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where you will work closely with senior finance leadership and gain broad experience across financial reporting, taxation, compliance, audits, and stakeholder reporting. Key Responsibilities Assist the Financial Manager with financial and operational reporting across multiple entities. Prepare and review monthly management accounts and reporting packs. Prepare annual financial statements and supporting schedules. Maintain and update consolidated reporting templates and regional financial reports. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and assist with special projects as required. Assist in documenting and improving financial and operational business processes. Prepare and review tax computations, provisional tax calculations, and dividend distributions. Prepare and submit tax returns using relevant tax software platforms. Assist with VAT reviews, tax reconciliations, IT14SD submissions, and SARS-related queries. Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Compile audit files and liaise with external auditors during audit processes. Assist with shareholder and stakeholder financial reporting requirements. Prepare, monitor, and maintain cash flow forecasts. Ensure compliance with financial, tax, and regulatory requirements. Minimum Requirements BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2–3 years' relevant accounting experience. Articles completed at a small audit or accounting practice will be advantageous. Experience within an accounting firm, audit practice, investment environment, or multi-entity business structure beneficial. Professional registration (SAIPA or SAICA) is advantageous but not essential. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and financial reporting. Skills and Competencies High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
